Museveni appoints new Public Service Commission members
Those appointed include: Vincent Seruma, as Chairperson; Jane Sanyu Mpagi as Deputy Chairperson; and Dr Anthony Taabu Munyaho, Dr Florence Mugoya Malinga, Dr Opio Alex Acholi, Kenneth Namboga Madete, Patrick Ngolobe, and Mauda Norah Mugisha, as members.

KAMPALA - President Yoweri Museveni has appointed new members of the Public Service Commission (PSC).
The Public Service Commission is established under the provisions of Article 165 (1) of the 1995 Constitution, and consists of a chairperson, deputy chairperson and seven other members appointed by the President with the approval of Parliament.
Under Article 166, it is mandated, among other functions, to guide and coordinate district service commissions.
In a letter dated August 30, 2026, to Lucy Nakyobe, the Head Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet, President Museveni appointed 9 members, who include the Chairperson, the Deputy Vice Chairperson and 7 members to the PSC.

“First of all, I approve of the criteria used as captured on page 5 of His Lordship Flavian Nzeija's report. Secondly, I approve of the recommended Public Service Commission Members.….” the President's letter read in part.

The President also recommended Sine Paul Claude and Dr Mackay Akoori Ecuman Okure as reserve candidates.
“I also approve of the proposal that the same criteria be used for other commissions,” advised President Museveni.
