Police are searching for a doctor attached to Mulago National Referral Hospital who went missing on Wednesday after she left her home in Masanafu, a Kampala city suburb.

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson Patrick Onyango said the doctor was last seen at Kasubi in Wakiso district around the traffic lights.

"Police in Old Kampala are looking for Winfred Nakanjako who disappeared from her home at Kinonya zone Masanafu, Lubya parish in Rubaga Division," Onyango said.

"Nakanjako is a medical doctor working with Mulago hospital and married to Dr Henry Ssemwanga [they are blessed] with one daughter. She was last seen in Kasubi around the traffic lights and later disappeared to an unknown area, efforts to trace for her are ongoing," Onyango added.

He appeals to the public not to harm her in case they see her. Instead, the nearest Police or local authority should be alerted.
