Mufti Mubaje fined sh20m over trespass on school land

The judge ordered Mubaje to pay sh572,000 to Alliance High School in special damages, sh10m in general damages and another sh10m in exemplary damages at an interest rate of 10% per annum until fully paid.

Pronouncing Mubaje a trespasser on the suit land, Justice Lamuno noted that while Mubaje claimed that he had owned the land since 2013, it is inconceivable that the dispute between the parties arose in 2021.
