Kampala city Rubaga suburb-based Miracle Centre Church has invited over 100,000 people to attend evangelist Benny Hinn two-day great healing crusade in Kampala City.
Pastor Robert Kayanja, the main organiser, says over 100,000 people are expected to attend the crusade between Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga and crown it with a major service on Sunday morning.
Kayanja said he had invited over 35,000 pastors from all over Uganda and ordinary and high-profile figures in government and the private sector.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Kayanja said he had so far injected shillings 3.1billion in organising the event, with contributions mainly from followers and friends in Uganda.
Preparations were still going to beautify the place and build up the stage.
Kayanja who toured the site and interacted with workers, was accompanied by Dr. Marie Doorn, the Benny Hinn event director, who was part of the advance team.
Benny Hinn is coming to Uganda for the third time.
"He is coming here for the third time, he is bringing healing to people."
Kayanja said the Church was grateful for the freedom of worship in the country and for the security, adding that Benny Hinn is coming at a time Uganda is transiting to another political term.
"God obviously has a reason why the man of God is coming at this particular time," he said.
He explained that Benny was coming to Uganda to preach the Gospel and to evangelise the world, and people should expect miracles.
He said returning to Uganda for the third time meant that the country is peaceful and people know God.
"He is here to preach the gospel, to evangelise the world, he is a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because we discovered that when he starts preaching, people get a lot of things-they get saved, get transformed, are helped, families are put together, societies are delivered and people are healed and born again, and therefore we are expecting great miracles."
"As he did when he came to Namboole and what God did here when he came back for the conference, this one is even going to be greater than ever before," he said.
Kayanja said people should expect God's visitation.
"We are in a season and the month of June is so unique. We began it on June 3 when we remembered the Uganda Martyrs at Namugongo, and now, people should expect a real healing and people's lives will be changed."
He said whatever people are going through, he wants to ask them to go and attend the crusades.
According to Kayanja, the location of the crusade is a beautiful place and people should expect to be treated well with respect.
Speaking about security, he said it would be tight and people will never be disappointed, because they will worship, with the choir in thousands of singer, with testimonies and praising.
"People need to come early,; please don't carry heavy bags unless you are carrying money. Don't bring food or drinks, we shall have enough food to buy at affordable prices and drinks."
He thanked Kampala archdiocese that allowed VVIPs to park at Pope Paul Memorial Hotel at no fee and the Kingdom of Buganda that provided parking in Lubiri palace for guests, saying everybody will be treated as a VIP. Dr. Marie Doorn said she was feeling a lot of joy to be in Uganda and attending the crusade.
"God loves Uganda, we are here on Kayanja invitation and we know something great is going to happen," she said, adding that she was amazed with the preparations and the feel and sense of anticipation, which indicated that something great was going to happen.
"We pray that many investors and businesspeople will come and many will be healed and delivered and life will be changed".
Earlier, Pastor David Makoko, the missions director at the Miracle Cathedral flagged off a drive to move to all suburbs in the city to mobilize people to attend the crusades.
