The Ministry of Health has confirmed an outbreak of Ebola in the country.
The ministry permanent secretary, Dr Diana Atwine, told reporters on Tuesday one death had been registered in Mubende.
"The confirmed case is a 24-year-old male, a resident of Ngabano village of Madudu sub-county in Mubende district," the ministry said.
"We want to remind the public of the symptoms of Ebola. Any suspected case may present with the following symptoms; fever,fatigue, chest pain, dioahrea, vomiting and unexplained bleeding from any side. yellowing of eyes will come later. Bleeding normally comes at the end," Atwine said.
