Minister Kaboyo inspects projects in Luwero Triangle

Earlier this week, the minister embarked on a field inspection tour of various infrastructure projects in the districts under her ministry, beginning with Luwero Triangle.

Alice Kaboyo the minister of the Luwero Triangle and Rwenzori Region, has held consultative meetings with political and security chiefs from Greater Luwero during the inspection of various projects in districts under her docket.
Earlier this week, the minister embarked on a field inspection tour of various infrastructure projects in the districts under her ministry, beginning with Luwero Triangle.
On Thursday, she had closed talks with stakeholders including: the District Chairpersons, Resident District Commissioners, Chief Administrative Officers, Regional Police Commanders, District Police Commanders, and District Internal Security Officers from Greater Luwero.

Discussion at the Luwero Regional Offices centered on Central Government cooperation with the local governments to revive the region.
"The leaders shared ideas on how to improve the key sectors of transport, health and education in Luwero, Nakaseke and Nakasongola districts. I thanked them for the work done and pledged my ministry’s full support to the efforts aimed at transforming the region," reads a post on the Kaboyo's social media sites.
She also had another engagement with National Resistance Movement (NRM) administrators and sub-county registrars who gave a report on the party member's register updates.
Kaboyo says that at the NRM Luwero Regional Office, the registrars reported receiving overwhelming numbers for the exercise. "Our people appear to have realized at last that the NRM is the only party with answers to the challenges they face, " reads Kaboyo's post .

On Tuesday (March 19th,) the commissioned two classroom blocks at Kapeeka Primary School in Nakaseke district. Each new block has two classrooms, a store, an office, and a 5000-litre water tank, as well as a 5-stance pit latrine. Management reported that the school enrollment stands at 786 students including 383 girls.
Addressing a huge gathering at the school compound, Kaboyo commended Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho (aka Gen Salim Saleh), who is one of the philanthropists that have aided the school in the recent past. Saleh, the Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation funded the construction of one of the blocks at the primary school.
It was reported that Gen Saleh who is also the Senior Presidential Advisor of Defence and Security, also purchased 20 acres for another project to expand the Kapeeka Secondary School.

During interaction with stakeholders, including Kabuye Kyoffatogabye the minister of State for Kampala, Kaboyo commended the school's administration for closely monitoring the project and urged them to maintain both the new structures and old ones for posterity.
