Married man dies during sexual encounter with neighbour

A 50-year-old man has died under scandalous circumstances in Luuka District, after collapsing and dying during a secret sexual encounter in a bush just days after his wife welcomed a newborn baby.

Police have launched investigations into the sudden death of Simon Kalamu, a resident of Namulanda B Village in Bukooma sub-county, following the shocking incident that occurred at around 9:00pm on May 18, 2026.

According to Samson Lubega, the Busoga North Police Spokesperson, preliminary findings reveal that Kalamu allegedly slipped away from his home and led an unidentified 40-year-old woman, who is his neighbour, into a nearby bush where the two reportedly engaged in sexual intercourse.

What began as a clandestine night-time rendezvous, however, ended tragically when Kalamu collapsed and died.

"It is alleged that the deceased collapsed during sexual intercourse. The suspect (woman) reportedly alerted nearby residents, who later informed local authorities," Lubega said.

What makes the story more startling is that Kalamu's wife had recently given birth. Kalamu reportedly left his wife in the house, attending to their baby, to have a good time with his other lover.

The 40-year-old woman is currently assisting police with investigations. Police have since picked Kalamu’s body for a medical examination to establish the actual cause of death.

The incident has since sparked a heated debate in Luuka, with many questioning what drove a new father to take such a fateful risk.
