Literacy rate for male Ugandans reaches 81%

Uganda’s general literacy rate has risen from 74% where it was 5 years ago in 2016 to 76.5% in 2020.

The literacy rate is defined by the percentage of the population of a given age group that can read and write.

The literacy rate for the male Ugandans who are 10 years and above has reached 81% as of 2019/2020 up from 78% where it was in 2016/2017.
