Lira city CAO charged, remanded over alleged abuse of office

Prosecution alleges that between June 2020 and July 2021, in abuse of his authority as the CAO, he allegedly refused to communicate to the Lira district land board and other relevant authorities the contents of a communication from the Permanent Secretary (PS) of the Ministry of Local Government.

The State House Anti-Corruption Unit (SHACU) in liaison with the Criminal Investigations Directorate on Tuesday, arraigned in court the Lira city Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for alleged abuse of office.
