According to NCHE criteria, a university should have at least 60% of its staff with Ph. D.s, and less than 10% is unacceptable.

Kyambogo establishment has close to 40 departments meaning that close to 80 professors are required the University is to be fully equipped with the human resource necessary for masters and Ph.D.
