Bannamasaka residing in Kampala, Entebbe, Wakiso, Mityana, Mubende and Mukono and other parts of the country flocked to Bishop Ddungu Memorial Gardens at Nsambya in Kampala on Sunday, April 14, to celebrate Bannamasaka Catholic Day.

The day started with Holy Mass led by the vicar general of Masaka, Msgr Dominic Ssengooba, who represented Masaka bishop Serverus Jjumba.

The Christians usually gather at Bishop Ddungu gardens every three months. This time, the function was organised by Makondo Catholic Parish, one of the 65 parishes created by the Masaka diocese.

Ssengooba assisted by Bannamasaka chaplain Fr John Baptist Kaganda and several priests, including the host parish priest of Makondo, Fr Matia Kimbugwe, joined others in  Kiganda dance.
