The duly elected Mayors of the five divisions of Kampala include Salim Uhuru (Central Division), Emmanuel Sserunjogi (Kawempe Division), Zacchy Mberaze Mawula (Rubaga Division), Ali Mulyanyama Nganda (Makindye Division) and Paul Mugambe (Nakawa Division).

Division Mayors of Kampala and division councillors were Thursday sworn in to mark the beginning of their five-year tenure.

The duly elected Mayors of the five divisions of Kampala include Salim Uhuru (Central Division), Emmanuel Sserunjogi (Kawempe Division), Zacchy Mberaze Mawula (Rubaga Division), Ali Mulyanyama Nganda (Makindye Division) and Paul Mugambe (Nakawa Division).

Apart from NRM's Uhuru, the other four Mayors represent the National Unity Platform (NUP).

In the Central Division, 42 councillors were sworn in at Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) offices.

The ceremony was presided over by Nakawa Chief Magistrate Sarah Basemera, assisted by Central Division clerk to the council, Joseph Wabwire.

NAKAWA DIVISION

It was joy and ululations at Nakawa Division when its 92 councillors took oath as the new leaders of the division for the next five years. The ceremony was presided over by Nakawa Chief Magistrate Douglas Singiza.
