Iganga municipality Eid prayers

Muslims in Iganga Municipality gathered at the district headquarters grounds for Eid al-Adha prayers, with religious and political leaders urging believers to uphold discipline, support vulnerable communities and embrace government poverty alleviation programmes.
The county Khadi, Sheikh Halid Babuge, called on Muslims to fear Allah and remain obedient to the Muslim leadership and the central government.
He also urged financially able Muslims to support widows, orphans and other vulnerable people as they celebrated the day and sought blessings.
Sheikh Rajab Gadafi, who led the prayers, encouraged Muslims with the means to sacrifice animals in large numbers, saying the act symbolises honour and blessings during Eid al-Adha celebrations.
He further appealed to parents to instil good Muslim morals in their children in order to promote discipline and fear of Allah.
The prayers were attended by the district LC5 chairperson, Swabiru Isabirye, assistant RDC Baker Luwangula, and Central Division mayor Abubacker Kasimba.
