Iganga faithful urged to uphold Muslim values after Ramadhan

The district khadi Iganga Sheikh Sinani Muwanika, has urged Muslims against immorality and loss of virtue after Ramadhan.
Muwanika, while speaking during Idd el fitri prayers held at Iganga municipal primary school playgrounds today, said majority of Muslims always resort to bad habits after the fasting season, which is contrary to the teachings of Islam
"You would have wasted time fasting for 30 days when, at the end of it, you resort to bad acts like fornication, drunkenness," he warned.
At the same event, he urged the worshipers to be responsible citizens by embracing government programs like the Parish Development Model to improve their household incomes.
The county khadi of Iganga municipality, Sheikh Issa Babuge, appealed to the Iganga municipality authorities to secure space to accommodate over 500 street vendors who have been displaced as a result of the enforcement of the government trade policy.
