How Queen ended up in refugee camp

After 26 years of living a lavish lifestyle as a king’s wife in Tunjur kingdom, western Sudan, Nafisa suddenly found herself in the squalid conditions of a refugee settlement in Uganda. 

Nafisa (Pictured) was born into royalty. Her father was a Tunjur chief, who was also killed by the militias. Her mother was a descendant of a traditional woman leader.
