Businessman Ambrose Akampurira is nursing a bullet wound to his right thigh after a gang of armed men stormed a bar in Kiti A cell, Nangabo Sub-County, shot him and made off with mobile phones stolen from customers in an attack police are treating as aggravated robbery.

Akampurira, the manager of Rafiki Gardens, was shot on July 14, 2026, when three men dressed in military uniform and armed with a gun stormed the bar, New Vision Online has learnt.

He was rushed from the scene to Reborn Hospital in Kiti before being referred to Bombo Army Hospital for further treatment, according to sources who spoke to New Vision Online on condition of anonymity.
