Govt tightens rules on civil servants’ loan deductions
The new directive follows damning revelations in the Auditor General’s 2021/22 report, which established that at least 15,002 civil servants across 44 local governments had been subjected to illegal salary deductions by accounting officers for unsolicited loans.

KAMPALA - The Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development has issued fresh guidelines to address persistent reports of illegal and irregular loan deductions from civil servants’ salaries,
