The Dipo to Dipo ghetto structure mobilisation was launched on January 3, 2025, in Wakiso district.
The event was officiated by Major Emmanu Kuteesa, who represented Major Gen. Christopher Damulira, alongside State House Comptroller Jane Barekye.
Addressing the gathering, Kuteesa urged ghetto youth to take advantage of the skilling centres established by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in their respective areas to acquire practical skills and make effective use of funds accessed through their SACCOs.
He also encouraged the youth to maintain peace and participate in the forthcoming elections by casting their votes on January 15.
"I urge all the ghetto youths wherever you are to visit the various established skilling centres to benefit from the government's knowledge boosting programs to enhance sustainability and development," he said.

Ghetto youth from Wakiso district and Nansana Municipality, together with their counterparts from other Kampala divisions and Mukono, expressed gratitude to President Museveni, Major Gen. Damulira and State House Comptroller Jane Barekye for what they described as positive changes in their lives, including reduced crime and increased opportunities.
They pledged to support efforts to further reduce crime by embracing available development initiatives aimed at improving their livelihoods and income sources.
The meeting was attended by ghetto youth representatives from Wakiso, Nansana Municipality, other Kampala divisions and Mukono, who reiterated their commitment to peace and socio-economic transformation through skills development and government-supported programmes.
