First Deputy Prime Minister Gen Moses Ali has been advised to rest after a month of treatment in Germany, according to reports reaching New Vision Online today, December 11, 2025.
The incumbent Adjumani West Member of Parliament is seeking reelection and has been campaigning.
The development means that his campaigns will continue in his absence. The veteran legislator has, since his nomination, been unable to appear for the campaign rallies due to health challenges.
Ali is currently battling for the seat with three candidates, including Tandrupasi Patrick of the Forum for Democratic Change.
Speaking at a campaign Rally in Adropi sub-county recently, Ali's political assistant Gabu Amacha, who is currently leading the campaign on his behalf, said the four-term candidate, Ali, is committed to prioritising major infrastructure development projects aimed at transforming the constituency if he is re-elected.
Among the key priorities is the long-awaited construction of the Laropi bridge, a project locals say will significantly ease movement between Adjumani and neighbouring districts.
He also pledged support for the construction of Sinyinya road and bridge, which becomes impassable during the rainy seasons.
In addition, Moses Ali through the team, re-affirmed his commitment to securing government investment for the upgrade and construction of Laropi-moyo-Afoji road, a major route expected to boost trade , reduce transport costs and improve access to social services.
