To dig deep into the emerging scandal, Museveni has asked Musasizi to explain the circumstances under which the funds were diverted. He also cited findings contained in a FIA report dated September 12, 2025, which indicated that two separate payments amounting to $8m and $6m, intended for Uganda’s loan repayments to the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank, were instead transferred to private entities identified as MJS International Limited in London, UK and Roadway Company Limited in Japan.
