Economy performance: Exports grow, imports decrease

Asia remained Uganda’s largest source of imports in December 2023, accounting for 41.2% of the total imports. Within Asia, China and India were the major contributors, accounting for 61.9% of the imports from the region.

Uganda exported merchandise worth $616.36 million in December 2023, the performance of the economy report for January 2024 released by the Ministry of Finance has indicated.
