DR Congo's Tshisekedi hosts Pastor Kayanja in Kinshasa

KINSHASA - President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi has held talks with pastor Robert Kayanja, the founder and Senior Pastor of the Miracle Centre Cathedral in Rubaga, Kampala.  

News about the engagement was first announced by President Tshisekedi's office. 
Several photos of the meeting on Monday, July 14, at the presidential offices on Mount Ngaliema, Kinshasa, were also released.

"I received a delegation of pastors led by Dr. Robert Kayanja, and Archbishop Évariste Ejiba Yamapia, President of the Revival Church in Congo (ERC).

The pacification of the eastern part of the DRC, as well as the Great Lakes region, and economic recovery through agriculture were the main topics discussed during this audience.

"We thank God for President Tshisekedi, thank God for allowing us to be received on Congolese soil," declared Pastor Dr. Robert Kayanja," reads a post on President Tshisekedi's social site X.

Relatedly, Pastor Kayanja's office  on Tuesday released  more photographs of the visit, including one where he  presented  to the DRC leader a copy of one of his books titled "Holy Spirit"

By press time, details of the meeting between the president and religious leaders led by Pastor Kayanja had not been released.
