Results from the police and government analytical laboratories have shown that only four out of the 25 children have turned out to be the biological children of the late Kadongokamu singer, Paul Job Kafeero.
The children are three sons and one daughter. The children are: Benedicto Kafeero, Simon Peter Kafeero, Thomas Kafeero, and Elizabeth Nagawa.

Results from the police laboratory presented by the director of forensics in Uganda Police, Andrew Mubiru, matched those from the Government Analytical Laboratory in Wandegeya.
The results were arrived at after analysing the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) samples of the 25 children against samples picked from Kafeero's remains.
The results bring to an end the long-standing paternity dispute involving 25 children who alleged to have been fathered by the late Kafeero.
The analysis of the results was spearheaded by local government minister and a friend of Kafeero, Balaam Barugahara, who said the exercise marks a significant step towards establishing the truth in a matter that has remained unresolved for over two decades.

Kafeero's remains were exhumed two weeks ago, and samples collected for forensic analysis in accordance with a court order and established scientific procedures.
“The exercise was conducted by a team of pathologists led by Assistant Inspector General of Police Dr Moses Byaruhanga, with officials from the Uganda Police Force overseeing the process,” Barugahara said.
The minister noted that the paternity dispute has for years been a source of disagreement among family members, adding that the findings will bring clarity, justice and harmony to those involved.
Barugahara expressed gratitude to the court, family members, Dr Byaruhanga and his team, and the Uganda Police Force for their role in facilitating the exercise.
Kafeero, one of Uganda's celebrated musicians, died in 2007.
