The funeral programme for the late Rev Eriasafu Serwadda, father of Senior Presidential Advisor on Anti-Corruption Col Edith Nakalema, has been released, with burial set for Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Rev Serwadda passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025.
According to the schedule, a funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the Church of Uganda, Mbalwa, followed by a vigil at his home in Kashari, Mbarara district.
Another service is set for Monday, February 10, 2025, at All Saints COU Kanyeganyegye, in Kashari, with a vigil continuing at his residence.
Col Nakalema, who also heads the State House Investors Protection Unit, described her father’s passing as heartbreaking, saying she and her family are leaning on their faith during this difficult time.
In an emotional message shared on her official X account, she expressed deep sorrow but also celebrated his life.
“As we grieve, we also celebrate Mzee Rev. Eriasafu Serwadda’s life – a life of love, wisdom, and unwavering faith," she said.
Nakalema urged friends and well-wishers to keep the family in their prayers as they mourn and honour his legacy.
