Catholic Church mourns Nalongo Ntwatwa

Nalongo Teresa Nakajiri Ntwatwa died from natural causes on Friday (April 14, 2023), aged 93 years.

The Vicar General of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Kampala, the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Charles Kasibante has spoken highly of the late Nalongo Teresa Nakajiri Ntwatwa, describing her as a deeply devoted Christian, who lived out the values and the Catholic faith and also passed them over to her children and grandchildren.

He praised the deceased for her responsible parenting, which he said, is clearly projected by the deep religious devotion and professionalism of her children.

He was presiding over the requiem mass of the late Nakajiri Ntwatwa at her marital home, at Katende, in Mpigi district on Sunday (January 16, 2023).

Nalongo Teresa Nakajiri Ntwatwa died from natural causes on Friday (April 14, 2023), aged 93 years.

She was highly respected for her disposition of hard work, moral sensitivity, charity and responsible parenting.

She produced and groomed many influential people, including Bro. Gabriel Lule (a deceased confrere of the Catholic religious institute of the Brothers of Christian Instruction) and Dr, Molly Nakyonyi (a Ugandan medic living in the US).

Nalongo Ntwantwa was buried by a sea of people. The Brothers of Christian Instruction, a religious institute to which Nalongo Ntwatwa’s son, the late Bro. Gabriel Lule belonged, also had a physical representation.
