TRIBUTE | NSIBIRWA | DEATH 

KAMPALA - Tributes have been paid to Allen Nkata Nsibirwa, the veteran banker and entrepreneur, who succumbed to heart-related complications on Monday (August 8, 2022), aged 76. 

She was lauded during her memorial service at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Namirembe, Thursday, August 11.

Among the many people who praised Nsibirwa was the Assistant Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Kampala, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Hannington Mutebi, who spoke highly of her deep Christian devotion and generosity. 

Mutebi acknowledged Nsibirwa as one of the Christians who contributed a lot of money towards his treatment in England.

Esther Byarugaba, a close friend, contemporary and former workmate of Nsibirwa spoke highly of her honesty, friendship and great love for people. 

She further admired Nsibirwa’s entrepreneurial acumen. Byarugaba said it was Nsibirwa who encouraged her to venture into her saloon business, to supplement her income, when both of them were still working at Grindlays Bank.

Several other speakers acknowledged with even greater admiration Nsibirwa’s extraordinary qualities of hard work, sincerity and commitment to Jesus.

The late Allen Nkata Nsibrwa was the mother of Susan Nsibirwa, the former head of marketing at Vision Group.

She was/will be laid to rest at her ancestral burial ground at Namagoma, in Mukono district on Friday, August 12, 2022.
