Bishop Dr Moses Odongo has been consecrated as the general overseer of the National Fellowship Of Born-Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda (NFBPC).

NFBPC is an umbrella network of Pentecostal churches, para-church organisations and missionary organisations operating in Uganda.

Consecrated on Tuesday, at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, Bishop Odongo replaces Bishop Joshua Lwere, who has been the overseer of NFBPC.

In his handover message, Bishop Lwere described Odongo as a faithful servant of God, who will diligently do God's work in leading the Born-Again Church in Uganda.

"For the last 13 years, Odongo has served, he has been a servant. It is faithful servants that become leaders," Lwere said.

Odongo was elected the fourth general overseer of NFBPC on March 16, 2023, and he will serve for a term of five years.

He was consecrated at a colourful ceremony attended by President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni, alongside other team members including his deputy, Bishop John Kabuye Kaggwa and secretary general Dr African Magyezi.
