Don't let hatred or bitterness deprive you of your happiness.
Esther 5:9
Haman went out that day happy and in high spirits. But when he saw Mordecai at the king’s gate and observed that he neither rose nor showed fear in his presence, he was filled with rage against Mordecai.
🧏♀️ Hatred and bitterness are like weeds with deep roots. Once they take root in the heart, they can grow and corrupt every area of our lives. Haman was so consumed by hatred for Mordecai that he could not even enjoy the great honour of being invited to Esther’s banquet. Let us, therefore, guard our hearts against hatred and bitterness, because they can rob us of the joy and blessings that are already before us.
🙏 PRAYER 🙏
Almighty God, we thank You for the great love You have for us. May no poisonous root of bitterness grow within us and trouble our hearts. We pray that You help us not to allow hatred, anger, or resentment to take root in our hearts. Fill us instead with Your love, peace, forgiveness, and compassion. Help us to let go of every bitterness and choose love even when we have been hurt. May Your love and peace reign among us, in our homes, workplaces, communities, and relationships. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏
