Benny Hinn crusade: Police issues motor traffic guidelines

All motorists are urged to comply with the instructions of traffic officers.

Uganda will host American Televangelist Pastor Benny Hinn, who will minister at the Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga–Kampala.

This grand crusade is scheduled to take place from Friday, June 27 to 29 June 2025, attracting a massive crowd of faithful, including VVIPs, VIPs, local and international religious leaders, and people from all walks of life.

To ensure smooth traffic flow and security during the event, the following routes, cut-off points, diversions, and parking arrangements have been put in place:

Routes for VVIPs & VIPs

1. City Centre (Kampala) → Wandegeya → Mulago Traffic Lights → Makerere Hill Road → Gaddafi Road → Namirembe Road → Mwanga II Road → Kabaka Njagala Roundabout → Ring Road → St. Lawrence University → Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga.

2. Alternative; Entebbe Road → Clock Tower → Mengo Hill Road → Ring Road → St. Lawrence University → Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga.

3. Bunamwaya → Kabusu Junction → Nabunya → Miracle Centre Cathedral, Rubaga.

Traffic-cut off points (If need rises)


• Kabaka Njagala Road

• Nabunya Crossroad Junction

• Pope Paul Memorial

• Kabusu Roundabout

• Ndeba–Kabusu Road Junction

Traffic diversions

• Vehicles from Nabunya will be diverted to Namirembe Road.

• Vehicles from Kabusu Road will also be diverted to Namirembe Road.

• Traffic from Pope Paul Memorial will be redirected to Ndeba via Petrocity.

• Traffic from Ndeba will be diverted to Ring Road.

• Traffic at Lubiri Main Gate will be redirected to Kabaka Njagala Road.

Parking arrangements

The Uganda Traffic Police will guide motorists to appropriate parking zones:

• St. Lawrence University: For VVIPs

• Pope Paul Memorial Grounds: For VIPs

• Lubiri Grounds: For the general public and Pastors

(Shuttle vans will transport the pastors to the venue.)

Note: Special considerations will be made for the sick and the lame.

• All motorists are urged to comply with the instructions of traffic officers.

• Exercise maximum discipline and patience on the road.

• Plan your journeys early to avoid delays and inconveniences.
