On February 20, the Uganda National Cultural Forum, led by musician Ragga Dee, organised a two-day workshop at the National Theatre on safety and security regulations regarding the 2024 events.

The leaders from different creatives groups attended the workshop and the guest of honour was Christopher Damulira, the director for crime intelligence.

Attendees were urged to give their opinions on the events and the guidelines people should follow before organising concerts.
They unanimaously agreed that if someone is not a promoter, they should not be allowed to organise concerts to curb unprofessionalism.

Damulira urged the promoters to always work with the Police before organising a concert.

"Talk to the Police early enough to avoid not getting clearance from them. Learn how to use professional boundaries as well that were given by the Police to avoid goons who tend to be attendees of the concert yet they have come to steal people’s property. Sometimes what causes that is the concert not being with enough security," he  said.

People that attended the workshop were Cindy Sanyu, the president of the Uganda Musicians Association and film director Mariam Ndagire, among others.
