Police say controversial musician Patrick Mulwana aka Alien Skin has been arrested over murder-related charges.

Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP) Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, confirmed the arrest.

“Alien Skin... has been arrested in connection with the death of Wilfred Namuwaya, alias Top Dancer.  He is currently at Katwe Police where his statement is being recorded,” Onyango said in a statement.

The statement, however, did not reveal whether his co-accused, who included Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya and Mijagulo, who allegedly participated in the beating of Top Dancer, had also been arrested.

Top Dancer, a former associate of his Fangone Forest gang, succumbed to injuries, allegedly meted out to him by Alien Skin and his acolytes, at Mulago National Referral Hospital on September 22, 2025.

The revelation brings to an end the hunt for the musician who claimed he had gone into hiding after Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, in a statement issued on September 23, confirmed that detectives were pursuing suspects connected to the case.

His arrest comes after security agencies searched his home in Kampala city's suburb of Makindye, where they allegedly recovered several items that included bows and arrows that have since been taken away.

Onyango said Namuwaya was allegedly abducted from his residence in the Kampala city suburb of Ndeeba on September 20 by a man identified as Musomali, said to be linked to Fangone Forest.

He was reportedly taken to the forest, where Alien Skin is alleged to have instructed his group to “discipline” him for leaving the camp without permission.

Namuwaya was brutally assaulted and later abandoned in Mpomba Zone, Makindye Division. Good Samaritans rushed him to Mulago Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries two days later.

“We are investigating the murder of Top Dancer. The prime suspect, Alien Skin, together with his associates, identified as Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya, and Mijagulo. Efforts are underway to have them arrested and prosecuted,” Onyango said.

Police further revealed that the Fangone Forest group has been linked to a series of assaults on former members and other individuals over the past two weeks, with many victims reportedly reluctant to report out of fear of retaliation.

Ironically, on the day the Police said Alien Skin was wanted, he performed at President Yoweri Museveni’s National Resistance Movement (NRM) mega nomination rally at Kololo Independence Grounds after being cleared as a candidate for the 2026 presidential elections. At the rally, Alien Skin claimed he had since crossed over to the NRM party.

However, two days after the rally, Alien Skin recorded an audio in which he claimed he would quit singing since it had accorded him more enemies than he had thought.
