MIDDLE INCOME STATUS
KAMPALA - The Prime Minister of the Republic of Uganda, Rt. Hon. Robinah Nabbanja, Wednesday (March 20, 2024) launched the 2023/24 Human Development Index (HDI) report, titled "Breaking the Gridlock: Reimagining Cooperation in a Polarized World".
This was at Makerere University, College of Business and Management Sciences, CTF2, Auditorium in Kampala.
During the launch, Nabbanja said Uganda had made progress on 26 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adding that the challenge of compiling its data, is also being addressed.
Prior, the UN resident coordinator, Suzan Ngongi Namondo, said Uganda has reached the lower middle income status.
