Thirty-four couples have tied the knot during a mass wedding held at St Claret Catholic Church, Nyabwina, in Sheema district.
The mass wedding is part of the three-day 12th annual Archdiocese of Mbarara Development Association (AMDA) Caravan 2026, being held at St Claret Catholic Parish, Nyabwina.
Day Three of the Caravan on Sunday (September 6) began with a celebration of faith and family as the couples received the Sacrament of Matrimony during the mass wedding.

The wedding was presided over by Fr Genensio Niwagaba of Mushanga Catholic Parish, who urged the newlyweds to remain faithful to their spouses, love one another and uphold the values of Christian marriage.
Fr Niwagaba also encouraged the couples to build their families on faith, commitment and mutual respect.
The ceremony attracted Christians, relatives and friends who gathered to celebrate with the newlyweds.
The mass wedding was among the activities held during the AMDA Caravan 2026, which brings together various services and activities aimed at supporting communities in the area.
