Why your favorite smoked fish will give you cancer
Dr Moses Matovu, a senior researcher and programme leader biosciences at the National Livestock Resources Research Institute (NaLIRRI), warns that uncontrolled eating of smoked fish leads to the accumulation of polycyclic hydrocarbon elements found in the smoke that builds up on the fish skin, which cause cancer.
