Quit alcohol, prevent holes in your baby's heart

Experts warn of a rise in babies born with holes in the heart, with alcohol consumption during early pregnancy as the leading cause. The foetal heart begins forming by day 19 — often before many women realise they are pregnant, leading them to continue drinking unknowingly.
