Lubega studied at St Jude Primary School Kasana, where he undertook his lower primary education. He subsequently continued his studies at St Jude Kakooge, from 2005 to 2010.

Paul Wasswa Lubega was ordained a priest
In 2011, he joined St Kizito Minor Seminary, Nandere, where he pursued his secondary education and received his initial seminary formation, completing his studies in 2016.
He proceeded to St Thomas Aquinas National Major Seminary, Katigondo, in 2017, where he undertook philosophical studies and continued his priestly formation until 2020.
In 2022, he joined St Mary's National Seminary, Ggaba, for theological studies and advanced priestly formation, continuing his journey towards the Holy Priesthood.
Lubega's vocation journey began towards the end of his Primary Seven studies when Fr Emmanuel Siita, then rector of St Kizito Nandere, together with the vocations team, visited his school (St Jude Kakooge).
During the visit, the students were introduced to the priestly vocation, the meaning of serving God as a priest, and the process of entering seminary formation.
Deeply inspired by this encounter, Lubega expressed interest in pursuing the vocation. Subsequently, he was admitted to the seminary, marking the beginning of his journey of priestly formation.
He said he is looking forward to proclaiming the Gospel faithfully and joyfully, and serving the People of God with love, humility and dedication.
His desire is to make his priestly ministry a faithful response to the call he has received from God.
