Zari keeps Shakib on his toes at Namubiru concert

While the revellers at Skyz Hotel, Naguru, were waiting for Shakib Cham Lutaaya to get behind the decks, it appears someone else was more interested in keeping him occupied – his wife, Zari Hassan.

The boss lady seemingly had her husband on a tight leash, making repeated video calls to check on his whereabouts during the Timeless Old School and R&B Experience on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

Shakib, who was scheduled to entertain revellers shortly after singer Iryn Namubiru's performance, appeared to have another demanding audience to attend to before spinning the decks.

Videos from the event show him repeatedly answering video calls from Zari, who seemed determined to establish exactly where her man was and, perhaps more importantly, who he was spending the evening with.

At one point, Shakib reportedly assured her that he was alone before turning his phone camera towards the crowd to give her a virtual tour of the people around him.

His explanation? He was simply hanging out with the boys.

But the boss lady apparently needed more than a verbal assurance. The repeated calls meant Shakib had to keep checking in, seemingly turning his night out into a game of cat and mouse.

For the revellers, the entertainment was on stage. For Shakib, however, there appeared to be a parallel show playing out on his phone.

Whether Zari was simply being playful, checking on her husband or making sure he did not get carried away with the nightlife, Shakib's evening came with an extra assignment: keeping the Boss Lady updated.
