Yami J set to drop 7-track debut EP "The Mwanzo"
Having released singles since the start of her music career, Yami J says she felt it was time to upgrade and try something new.

Singer Yami J has announced the upcoming release of her debut EP, titled The Mwanzo EP.
Having released singles since the start of her music career, Yami J says she felt it was time to upgrade and try something new. The EP features a range of sounds that she describes as defining her unique style.
"I started recording some of the songs while on my Europe tour in Sweden and have been waiting for the perfect time to release them," she said.
The project includes seven tracks, two of which were previously released as singles. The songs were produced by talented producers from Uganda, Nigeria, the United States, Australia, and Sweden.
Describing the EP as "the beginning of me," Yami J dedicated the project to her fans who have followed her journey since the start.
The Mwanzo EP will be available on all streaming platforms, including YouTube, Spotify, and iTunes, starting June 15, 2025.
