Ugandan model Sunday Stephen last month scooped the Best Young Achiever Fashion Model of the Year award in the first edition of the Young Achiever Africa Awards 2025 held in Kigali.
The muscle modeler and fitness athlete who last year was crowned Mr. Africa International 2024 at the prestigious grand finals held in Freetown, Sierra Leone, was voted through an online poll to add another accolade to the previous ones that include Mr. Central, Uganda 2022-23; Mr. Body of Africa 2023-24 and the Mr. Africa International 2024-25.
Sunday, who was also recently voted the Model of the Month in a popular magazine in Nigeria, expressed his happiness and said it is a reward for his limitless resilience.
“I thank myself for never giving up, for pushing through doubts, and for believing even when it was hard. Every step, every moment of silence, and every spotlight, I carried myself through it all,” Sunday noted.
He is now more determined to win more awards this year and add to his legacy.
“This title is not just an award; it’s a reminder that I am capable, resilient, and worthy. This is just the beginning. I didn’t come this far to stop here. I’ll win more, shine brighter, and keep raising the bar for myself and for everyone watching. Fashion Model of the Year is only the second chapter; I’m writing a whole legacy,” Sunday stated.
He has represented Uganda with passion, and his consistent performance is a monument to his tenacity, dedication, and love of modeling and fitness.
Sunday’s path to victory has been nothing short of inspirational. Over the years, he has consistently placed among the top five contestants and earned accolades like the “Body of Africa” award last year. His relentless efforts, self-funded preparations, and unshakable determination have seen him continue to excel in the sport.
