Socialite Shanitah Namuyimbwa, aka Bad Black, has urged Ugandan young girls to desist from living expensive, luxurious lives that they cannot sustain.

She said this during a press conference in Kampala. The presser launched her Beauty Beyond the Scars campaign.

Bad Black said she has observed a number of young women on social media platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, and TikTok living lives beyond their means, "as if they are trying to impress someone."

She noted that most of these young girls are under pressure and influence from their friends.

"At worst, I have seen these girls begging for money online because they need to facilitate their lifestyles. Begging is not even the worst they do. They also offer their bodies to men for money," said Bad Black amidst sarcastic giggles from members of the press.

"You can work your way out instead of using your bodies," she advised.

She claimed that if it was the right way, she would have acquired large sums of money through prostitution. "It is evil and I do not condone it," she said.

Spice Diana, who also attended the press conference, also advised young women not to dress like her if they cannot afford it. "I earn a lot from music, so I do not use my body to earn and afford all the good things," she said.
