In 2023, after Kenyan band Sauti Sol officially called it quits, putting up an all-VIP farewell show, the band members have since been on tour, performing individually across Africa.
Bien Aime, the former band lead singer, has performed in Uganda twice since then. As such, on May 17, the other member of the band - Savara - will be performing in Uganda at the two-day Luc Belaire experience, at The Paradigm Bar and Lounge, Kampala.
Day two of the concert, dubbed Chop Life Sunday, will be held on May 18, at Cask Lounge, Kololo, a Kampala suburb, where Savara seeks to give more of himself.
Savara, now famous for his latest hit singles - Tujengane, Parapanda, My Boo and Cool Me Down, among others, will not only showcase himself as a solo artiste, but also take revellers down a Sauti Sol memorable lane. Apart from Aime, Savara's vocals always shaped Sauti Sol's music identity.
Savara will be joined by Uganda’s Fik Fameica, who, according to the organisers, is set to collaborate soon with American rapper Rick Ross.
Joining them will be DJs Urban Ratibu, Vee, Dash for an East African type of party. The evening will be hosted by MC Sheila Salta.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers, Talent Africa boss said: "I'm thrilled to announce the upcoming Luc Belaire Experience party. We are excited to host energetic Kampala party people for an electridying showcase of East African music.”
