The Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) has remained steadfast in its decision not to join the newly-established Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), despite rumours suggesting otherwise.

This decision comes despite the Government's commitment to allocate sh13b to support the creative sector through the federation.

In a recent interview, the association's president, Cinderella Sanyu, reiterated their stance, citing unclear goals as the primary reason for not aligning with the federation.

"We are not joining them at any time. There are still numerous unanswered questions," stated Cindy.

Regarding the financial aspect, she said UMA only requires sh1.3b to cover its budget for 2024. Consequently, they appear unconcerned about the sh13b expected by the federation.

In addition to the association's position, Cindy shed light on why the anticipated Blu*3 reunion performance did not take place at the "A Night With Bien" concert days ago, where Kenyan singer Bien-Aimé Baraza from Sauti Sol captivated Kampala.

The Blu*3  trio, consisting of Cindy, Lilian Mbabazi, and Jackie Chandiru, was anticipated to deliver a memorable comeback performance.

Cindy revealed that they were advised to reserve their energy and surprises for an upcoming show scheduled after the fasting period.

Originally slated for March 8, their show had to be rescheduled due to a clash with fellow singer Ronald Mayinja's event.
