Friday, June 9, was the day of reckoning for singer Pius Mayanja aka Pallaso and his rival Alien Skin.
They both had the shows on the same day after a bitter fight they had at the end of May.
Pallaso’s Love Fest event started off on a low key as revellers were coming in bits at the venue at Lugogo Cricket Oval, which created a lot of panic, tension, and questions among people, especially on social media, yet by 2:00pm, rival Alien Skin had already filled up Freedom City.
However, as it clocked 8:00pm, revellers from all walks of life started flocking to Lugogo Cricket Oval to show support for Pallaso.
From 8:00pm to 9:00pm, the crowds started to get bored and paranoid when mostly upcoming artistes who had no vibes were performing.
The event gained some life when known artistes started coming up on stage before the man of the moment – Pallaso.
At 10:00pm, Pallaso hit the stage in a black costume amid fireworks and chanting.
He started off with Ndikuwaki, a thanksgiving song, before performing his other tracks such as Twatoba, Bega Bega, and Malamu.
Revellers got drunk in love with Pallaso’s performances on stage as he took them back to the old days of Lizard and back to the days of Team No Sleep to the current Pallaso.
The Love Fest concert gained more momentum and excitement as Sheebah joined Pallaso on stage to perform their duo song titled Go Down Low, which got crowds to go crazy, screaming loud dancing off their waists.
In between the performances, there came legendary artiste Ragga Dee whose songs such as Ndigida and Mbawe still sounded fresh in the ears of the revellers.
Other artistes who engaged the crowds with exciting performances included Mikie Wine, who was welcomed with lots of noise from the crowds as he performed Sulubada song. Green Daddy, Victor Ruz, Eezzy, Melody, Jowy Landa and Martha Mukisa excited the crowds.
Pallaso was later joined by his brother Weasel, who closed the show on a high note, performing Amaaso, taking back revellers to the old golden days of the Goodlyfe Music.
While ending the show, Pallaso thanked his fans for not letting him down as they decided to choose love over hate by attending his concert in big numbers.
He asked them for more support as he continues with his other concerts in other parts of the country.
Love it or leave it, Pallaso proved his worth in the music industry, for filling up Lugogo Cricket Oval is not a walk in the park.
Today, June 10, Pallaso is expected to be at Agip Motel in Mbarara, June 11 at Fort Portal Stadium, June 16 in Luweero Mukisawe, June 17 in Jinja, and June 18 in Mubende Mukisawe.
