Ugandan music lovers are set for an electrifying night of Afroswing, Afrobeats and hip hop as internationally acclaimed UK collective NSG headlines the Sounds of the Diaspora Reloaded concert at the UMA Showgrounds in Lugogo on August 22.

The concert marks NSG's highly anticipated return to East Africa and will serve as a major stop on the group's "Sounds of the Diaspora Reloaded" tour, giving Ugandan fans an opportunity to experience their latest music live.

Rather than being an exclusive album launch, the event celebrates the success of the group's two recent projects, Sounds of the Diaspora and Sounds of the Diaspora 2, both released earlier this year in January and May 2026, respectively.

Fans can expect the six-member London-based collective to perform several songs from the two projects, including standout collaborations such as "Casamizzy" featuring Ghanaian star King Promise and "4L" featuring Kenyan singer Bien, alongside many of the group's biggest international hits that have helped define the Afroswing sound.

Known for seamlessly blending Afrobeats, UK rap, dancehall and hip hop, NSG has built a global following through energetic live performances and chart-topping records, making their Kampala appearance one of the biggest international concerts on Uganda's entertainment calendar this year.

The show will also celebrate African music and the strong cultural ties between the continent and its global diaspora, reflecting the group's identity as artists with African roots who have shaped the UK urban music scene.

NSG were initially scheduled to perform in Uganda earlier this year, but the concert was called off after the government suspended all entertainment events in Kampala. In late May 2026, the Ministry of Health halted music concerts, mass gatherings and other entertainment shows across the Kampala Metropolitan Area as part of measures to curb the spread of a viral outbreak.

The restrictions forced organisers to postpone several major events, including NSG's highly anticipated performance.

Ugandan stars Fik Fameica, MUN G, Aaronx and Tojo 256 are expected to join NSG on stage, creating a blend of local and international talent for what organisers describe as a celebration of contemporary African music.

The entertainment will continue with performances from some of Uganda's leading DJs, while a lineup of celebrated hosts will keep audiences engaged throughout the night.
