Nkozi is largely regarded as a small, quiet university town. It was only on Saturday that circumstances altered its profile. With the Smirnoff Fiesta taking place at Bbosa Hostel, it was all loud and banging, and what a night the students had!

Headlined by DJ Etania aka Life of the Party, the night lived up to its promise of a non-stop turn-up.

From the moment the music began blasting, Nkozi’s party lovers showed up ready to move, singing along to their favourite hits and jumping to every beat as the hostel compound transformed into one massive dance floor.

Etania delivered her signature mixes blending Amapiano, Afrobeats and dancehall. The effect on the audience was wild dancing, screaming and catcalls whenever she switched tracks.

The infectious rhythms kept the crowd locked in, proving once again why she has built a reputation as one of the most exciting female DJs on the entertainment circuit.

The momentum continued as DJ Wiz J and Josh MC stepped in with crowd-pleasing sets that maintained the night’s pulse. Local talent also had their moment in the spotlight, with Nkozi’s own TrellyOnSet bringing home-ground energy while hypeman MC Ursh Trey kept the crowd fully engaged.

Beyond the music, the event delivered the full fiesta experience. One of the night’s biggest highlights was the chance for attendees to win tickets to Etania’s upcoming headline concert, “Becoming the Life of the Party.”

The party reached its final peak when identical twin DJs Wasswa and Kato took over the decks. With one spinning tracks and the other hyping the audience, the duo kept the energy surging as revellers danced deep into the night.

Speaking at the event, Raymond Karama, the Brand Manager Smirnoff, reflected on the incredible turnout and energy.

“Nkozi came expecting a party, but the Smirnoff Fiesta showed them how it’s really done the Smirnoff way. It is moments like these that remind us why the fiesta keeps raising the bar.”
