Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 winner to live a comfortable rent-free life

The race for the next Miss Tourism Uganda crown has taken shape and so far, queens from a number of sub-regions such as Teso, Bunyoro, Eastern, Toro and Buganda have been crowned, ahead of the grand finale scheduled for September 4 at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The contestants are in it to replace outgoing queen Cindy Kezia Nachap.

However, in a new twist, this year’s edition will have the winning queen live in luxury, in a fully furnished house for the duration of her reign, raising her profile and appeal. In the past, the queens have been awarded with vehicles and a number of luxurious products from the competition’s various sponsors.

This was announced by the organisers at the location of the house in the serene Villa Vellar Estate along Entebbe Road in Bwebajja. The organisers say the house will be fully paid for, offering the winner a comfortable and secure residence as she carries out her duties.

According to the pageant’s administrator, Loice Namara Kalamuka, the move is intended to provide the queen with a more supportive and rewarding experience. “We want to give our queen a life that befits her status. Queens deserve to be handled better anywhere.”

Beyond accommodation, the winner is also expected to benefit from opportunities to engage in tourism campaigns, cultural promotion and conservation initiatives.

This year’s edition is themed “AI, Culture and Tourism,” and highlights the role of technology in transforming how Uganda showcases its heritage.
