Gospel singer Levixone has rallied behind fellow artiste Gabie Ntaate following her revelation that she has faced rejection and discrimination from some members of the born-again Christian community.

Ntaate recently opened up about feeling unwelcome in some church circles because of her music career, sparking debate about acceptance and the challenges gospel artistes face within Christian communities.

Offering her support, Levixone said he believed in Ntaate’s talent long before she took music seriously and dismissed any suggestion that he was among her critics.

“I believed in you way before you even started taking music seriously. Among your critics, I am not there. Among your fans, I am on the front row,” he said.

Levixone also weighed in on the disagreements that sometimes erupt among gospel artistes, saying conflict is part of life and is not exclusive to the music industry.

“It’s the world; fights happen everywhere, but it’s on me as someone who accepted Jesus to stay on course and not mind about who’s fighting me,” he said.

He urged gospel artistes to remain focused on their calling rather than being distracted by criticism, disagreements or opposition.

“Remember why you started singing and, most importantly, the person who called you into the music ministry,” he said.

The ‘Chikibombe’ hitmaker also reflected on his own struggles, saying the challenges he has faced have strengthened him, even though he has not always found it easy to speak about them.

“I have faced a lot of challenges, but I don’t know how to speak up. Those challenges are why I’m strong. It hasn’t been easy for me. I see my challenges as a story to tell,” he said.

For Levixone, the struggles are not merely setbacks but part of his journey and a testimony he hopes to share through his music.
