Katikkiro lauds MC Kats over fight against AIDS

The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has commended events emcee MC Kats (real name Edwin Katamba) for his outstanding fight against HIV/AIDS.

In 2019, MC Kats publicly disclosed his HIV status and has since helped to fight stigma among the youth.

In an interview, the Buganda prime minister hailed Kats  for supporting the Kabaka Birthday Run slated for July 3, which is aimed at fighting against AIDS.

The MC bought 10 kits.

"I want to thank Katamba, the grandson of Ndugwa from the Lugave clan, for his remarkable contribution towards the fight against AIDS, which is our theme for this year's  Kabaka Birthday Run," he said.

Mayiga added: " I am always watching and following you on TV and you have been fighting against HIV. Thank you very much."
