MC Kats defends offering Grenade sh20,000 to quit music

Media personality MC Kats has responded to singer Grenade’s claim that the first time he (Kats) listened to his music, he implored him to return to the village and offered him sh20,000 for transport. He said it was because he felt Grenade was never going to make it as an artiste.

 While speaking to a prominent city media personality, Grenade said: “MC Kats gave me sh20,000 and asked me to go back to the village after he listened to my music.  I asked him to give sh2,000 because I was hungry. But I was not going back to the village.”

 MC Kats responded to Grenade stating that his reaction was not in bad faith, but mirrored his own experiences to enable the singer avoid them. He said he is proud the singer stayed and succeeded.

“I left home at avery tender age went through so many things on my own. I knew so much about the streets and regreted a lot. I just didn't want you to face the same story. I am proud of what you became though, bro @grenadeofficia1,” responded Kats online.
