Uganda is set to host renowned Malawian preacher and global faith leader Prophet Shepherd Bushiri on January 31, 2026, in what organisers describe as one of the most anticipated prophetic gatherings in recent years.
According to the organisers, the 'prophetic sessions', scheduled to take place at the Hockey Grounds in Kampala city, is being hosted by Healing Fountain Ministries under the leadership of Prophetess Dr Faith Obayi.
Speaking to the media on January 26, 2026, ahead of the event, leaders from Healing Fountain Ministries said the visit goes beyond a conventional religious meeting, positioning it as a moment of spiritual renewal, leadership guidance and national reflection at the start of the year.
“I am encouraging our people across all sectors to come and learn, to get direction in the area of stewardship, accountability and governance. This will impact our society and our nation. As a country, we can’t afford to miss this chance, especially at the beginning of the year,” he said.
He also shared personal testimonies from previous gatherings led by Prophet Bushiri, citing experiences of healing and prophetic insight as evidence of the impact of the preacher’s ministry.
“I have personally experienced healings that challenged even the most skeptical. When you encounter such a prophet, you realize that God speaks in different dimensions, giving direction and solving deep-rooted challenges,” Mukooli said.
An honour and a responsibility
Obayi, the founder of Healing Fountain Ministries, described the upcoming conference as both an honour and a responsibility.
“I really want to appreciate God for giving me the honor to be the host of this conference that is going to happen on the 31st of January, 2026,” she said. “We are privileged to have Bushiri come and speak to us here in Uganda.”
Obayi described Bushiri as a global influencer whose ministry spans more than 76 countries.
“He is a man that has raised and mentored presidents, businesspeople and leaders across the globe,” she said.
“His profile is very high. He is not only a preacher, but a mentor and a businessman whose impact has touched nations.”
She stressed the importance of beginning the year with spiritual guidance. “It is very important to start the year with a prophet,” Obayi said.
“The Bible tells us that God reveals His secrets through prophets. This prophet is very unique—you cannot encounter him and remain the same.”
According to Obayi, the conference is open to everyone, regardless of background. “I want to invite Uganda as a nation—individuals, families, spiritual leaders, politicians, businesspeople and students,” she said. “If you are seeking wisdom, direction, healing or clarity in your life, this is a moment you should not miss.”
She also highlighted Bushiri’s involvement in various economic sectors, including agriculture and education.
“He owns over 20,000 acres of land where he is doing farming that is helping to raise the economy of Malawi. He also runs institutions like the IS Academy. Whatever field you are in—business, farming, academics—there is something to learn from him,” Obayi said.
She also expressed gratitude to Ugandan authorities for supporting freedom of worship. “We appreciate the government of Uganda and our leadership for the support and the freedom accorded to us to worship,” she said.
As anticipation builds, organizers say the January 31 gathering is intended to be a moment of unity, prayer and renewal. “Everyone is going through something quietly,” Mukooli said. “This is an invitation to come and embrace liberty, peace of mind and direction. Let God meet you at your very point of need.”
